On the Road Again ~ SC to FL

I had been dreading this 10 hour drive, but it was actually an enjoyable day. We didn't get on the road until 12:30pm, but still made it to our rental house at 10:30pm. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for a yummy lunch and  at many rest stops along the way. The welcome center in Macon, Georgia had a nice lady who gave the kids key chains and bracelets.
We traveled with Jeremy and his girls, and Cory enjoyed seeing the girls at each stop. He watched Scooby Doo a lot of the way as well. I got to drive my dad's diesel F-350 the last half of the drive and loved it. It's amazing how much power that tank has.

The house was very spacious and it is so much nicer to be able to put all of the kids in bed and then visit, instead of retreating to individual hotel rooms. I put a toddler mattress that we brought from SC in the closet in our room for Cory. We were both really tired and it didn't take us long to fall asleep.

We had the entire next day to relax; Kevin didn't fly in until late that afternoon. Even though Dad had just gotten back to the house from a long day at Universal Studios with Cory and his boys, he offered to ride with me to pick up Kevin. I'm usually a pretty confident driver/traveler, but finding my way to the airport and going through all of the toll booths, while driving the F-350 was a little intimidating to me.

Cory hung out with G-Ma and the girls while we picked up Kevin.
It was so great to finally see Kevin. It was the longest we've ever been separated before! As soon as Kevin walked into the house, Cory asks him, "Where is my Jessie doll?" Cory had been grieving over not having her and had asked Kevin to bring it. We laughed that after not seeing Kevin for 11 days, he was more concerned about seeing Jessie.
Finally... after what seemed like an eternity, our little family of 3 was together again and ready to do DISNEY!
