It's a boy

Kevin and I went to find out if we are having a boy or a girl this week. The tech says it's a boy, and we are so excited! We are a little worried that she was wrong, and I've made everyone watch the video trying to see if they can see the "turtle" too! I went and registered for all boy stuff tonight, so we hope she was right!

Looking Forward

I found out I was pregnant September 17th and time is flying by. The last 10 weeks seem more like a month. Yesterday was the first day that it hurt to button my pants, and I’m currently sitting here with my pants unzipped enjoying the much needed breathing room. It’s official….I’m getting bigger. I’ll spare my 2 blog readers of all my pregnancy “ailments” and focus on how exciting it is to be in my “condition.” Most days I forget that there is really a baby in me, but every once in a while I have these intense realizations that make my heart skip a beat and the blood rush to my head. I’m so thankful to be blessed with this experience in my life right now. I love having so much to look forward to.

Exciting news!

So Kevin and I are expecting a baby in May and just passed the 12 week mark, where the chance of miscarriage drops drastically. It's been an amazing experience so far. At about 8 weeks my morning sickness just ended all of a sudden, so when I went in for my first appointment I expressed my concern to our doctor. He immediately scheduled an early ultra sound to put my mind to ease. I went back that afternoon and they did a really quick ultra sound. I was able to see and hear the baby’s heartbeat. It was such an amazing feeling to know there was really a baby in there!
I recently went in for my 12 week appointment and Kevin made it just in time to hear the heartbeat. First the doctor told us we were hearing my heartbeat and then he moved around for what seemed to be an eternity and then all of a sudden you could hear the super fast and loud beats of our baby’s heart. Kevin broke into a big grin which melted my heart. We are so excited for May to get here, but we're thankful to have 6 more months to prepare!

The Hide Race

This video makes me and Kevin laugh so much when we watch it. Even though this is like the most redneck thing I've ever done (well at least in my top five), I think it will make my momma proud.
The Hide Race-
Needed: 2 people, a horse, a rope and dried out cow hide. One person rides the horse from one side of the arena to the other while dragging the dried out cow hide with a rope. When you get to the other end the other person (me) tries to jump on the hide, hold on and stay on while being drug back to the finish line.
