Cory's 1st Fish

We went fishing in Salem with our friend Brandon and his kids. It was Cory's first time fishing. Brandon let Cory reel a fish in and it was hilarious watching Cory try to grab it. The fish kept slipping out of his hands and eventually jumped back in the water. Cory was so happy and excited!

3 Year Old Well Child Check

Cory went to his 3 year old well child check last week. He was excited to go, but the first thing he told the nurse was, "no pokes" (meaning no shots). Luckily for him (and me) he didn't need any this time.
He weighs 31 lbs and is 37 1/2 inches tall. Cory went and hugged Dr. Anderson's leg and asked him, "Am I your friend Dr. Anderson?" It was so cute. Dr. Anderson told him, "Yes, you are my friend Cory!" I love my confident and out-going boy.

My name is Ariel....

So Cory goes through stages of pretending he's someone else. First it was Jack Sparrow, then it was Jessie from Toy Story. He eventually moved on to Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas and has most recently been going by "Ariel". This child gets obsessed about living in his character. Well, he had a special Ariel toy that we lost at the park the other day and he was devastated. My friend Stefanie came to the rescue and offered one of her little girl's Ariel toys to me. He was one happy little boy when I brought it home.

Los Hermanos

We had way too much fun with our specialty drinks at Los Hermanos the other night. Cory is a crack up!

Happy Birthday.... to me!

I had an amazing birthday this year! It started on my birthday eve, with my sweet co-worker Stefanie bringing me a fun cake. I was able to leave work early and make it home to get presents from Kevin and Cory. Those stinkers had gone to the Sweet Tooth Fairy bake shop (which is amazing) and bought me cake bites and cupcakes. Kevin knows what his woman wants! Kevin also took Cory to the Dollar Store, to buy me a present. My little dude picked out a dinosaur card with "two volcanoes!!" on it and a huge water squirter. I couldn't have asked for more fun presents.

Cannons and Cory Quotes

When I tried to help Cory say a prayer, he told me, "It's a private prayer."

Cory told me, "Mom, Jesus can get you a wee wee." (I guess he thinks I got shorted.)

Cory meets an older, larger lady and says to her, "You're cute!"

Things Cory has prayed for:
"Please keep mommy and daddy safe from the big bad wolf."
"Thank you for Jesus for teaching us to walk in the light."
"Help us give kids space."
"Help us not poke kids."
"Help Mommy not get frustrated."
"Thank you for bones guy."

One night before bed, Kevin taught Cory about Jesus being in the tomb for three days and then being resurrected. Kevin then explained how because Jesus was resurrected, we can be resurrected too. Well, Cory then said our family prayer and prayed that Mommy, Daddy, Moroni, Ammon and Bones Guy can be resurrected. We were cracking up. (Bones Guy is a skeleton Halloween decoration that Cory plays with and adores.)

"Nap" Time

After church today I wanted to go see my friend Tiffany and her sweet new baby boy. I put Cory down for a nap and headed down to Payson. After an hour and a half Kevin heard Cory calling for us, so he went in to get him. Cory says, "I wake up!" Kevin looked at his destroyed room and asked Cory what happened. Cory (who was very pleased with himself) said, "I made a mess! Will you take my picture?" The little stinker had taken a brand new roll of toilet paper and ripped it into tiny pieces all over his bed. He then took all of his toys and put them in bed with him. It looked like a tornado had hit his room. The funny part is he did this all silently.

Crafty Mama in Training

You may remember that sewing machine I got for Christmas??? Well I finally took it out of the box and slowly and painstakingly taught myself how to use it (no easy task). My first project attempt was a car seat cover and let me just say... I LOVE it!

Spring = Mud Puddles

After Zumba, Cory and I met my friend Heidi and her kids for a park day. Within 10 minutes of being there our little ones discovered the one gross mud puddle on the property. They were wet before we had much to say about it. I eventually took Cory's pants off in preparation to leave, and he quickly went and sat down in the puddle in his underwear. So yucky, but I wasn't upset, because they were having so much fun.

Made it home, gave him a bath, and then on to the next mess!
