Package from Papa Whitesell

My dad sure knows what makes Cory "tick". He sent Cory a package with a spooky picture, where the lady turns to bones at different angles, and some cotton candy. Cory was one happy guy!

August Memories

August just flew by! We did some really fun things that deserve their own posts, but I wanted to go ahead and add some random pictures. Somewhere between July and August, Mason decided he wanted to be a “juicy” baby and hasn’t quit fattening up since. Cory just adores him and is always asking to hold him. He is really gentle and follows the “Baby Mason rules” really well. As soon as Mason sees Cory, he lights up with this humongous grin. Cory talks to Mason like I do saying things like, “Hey honey!” “Hey sweet baby” “Cory has you. It’s ok.” All of which completely melt my heart and remind me why we needed Mason in our family.

Cory let a stray dog in one day. Luckily she was really sweet and clean. :)

I took this picture one night when I was having a particularly hard time putting him down. I just love snuggling him!

When Cory saw Mason in a baseball outfit, he ran and put his matching ones on. It was cute.

2 Month Pictures

This sweet baby smiles all of the time and drum-roll please.........he sleeps through the night. That's right! My 2 month old baby sleeps either 7 to 9 hour stretches each night, with the occasional "bad" night mixed in, where he sleeps 2 back to back 4 hour stretches. I've always heard fat babies sleep better, and he's proving the tale true. I also think that his love for his thumb helps him self soothe.

Camping in August ~ Jolley's Ranch

We were able to spend a lot of time up Hobble Creek Canyon this summer, and even camped overnight together. Kevin and I wanted to do something for our 5 year anniversary, and even though camping with our kids might not seem that romantic, it was a great way to celebrate our relationship. Mason and I slept in the camp trailer and Cory and Kevin in the tent. Right before bed (it was really late) Cory pushed against the trailer door and fell out face first. Poor little guy landed smack on his face. He was so upset, but eventually calmed down enough to go to sleep. Cory loves sleeping in the tent and even attended his first Fathers and Sons annual church camp-out in August

It was our 5 year wedding anniversary!

First time sleeping in a tent, and so excited!
