Little Personalities

We love to have Jackson over to play. He always wants to do fun things like paint and play-doh. I love seeing the differences in these two budding artists' style. Jackson is methodical and patient, where as Cory fills his entire space and within 5 minutes begins painting himself.

" What? I'm not suppose to be blue?"
And then there is Mason. He's just plain in to everything and is so independent.  Here's a picture of him eating an avocado all by himself. Who needs mom's help!?

BYU 84th Ward Reunion

I got to go to the neatest event! The last (and most influential) BYU Ward I attended held a reunion. I hadn't been with these people since I got married in 2007, so it had been 6 years. It was so fun to introduce my handsome guys to old friends, especially to the men who served in the bishopric at that time. They hold a special place in my heart and it was fun to spend time with them again.

So great to see old friends and roommates
Craig Lybert and me. He was such an amazing example of fellowship and love to me. He also is a great volleyball player.
Here I am with Bishop Paul Ruffner. He and his wife are the most gracious people and they both impacted me and helped me become who I am today.

Nebo Half Marathon

This race was so much fun. Holly called me 2 days before the race and said she had an entry for me. I didn't have to do any of the stressing myself out before a race junk, and went in with no expectations. I secretly wanted to beat my previous time, but that's not really a secret when you're running your 2nd Half Marathon. I think the first race was all about finishing and figuring out what if feels like to run 13.1 miles. This time I pushed myself a little harder and I swear I kept that smile on my face all the way until the last 0.1 miles; then it was all business. I beat my last time by 6 minutes or so, with a time of 1:58:06. I was pretty pleased with getting a sub 2 hour time. I can totally quit running now. (Just kidding.)

MaeBelle tried to eat me when I got home.
That's better. Once you get her in a headlock, she's so cuddly.
This picture is the best, because it was a happy day for me, my Cory is looking oh so handsome, and it even captures the essence of MaeBelle.

Good thing we love her

MaeBelle is growing so fast. She is becoming a little terror. She chews on everything, and has sealed her fate of being an outside dog. She still chews on the kids, and their friends, and when she's bored with them she finds new things to bite on. Today she found the lining in the flower bed and decided we should let the weeds grow freely in this space. She really was helping, right?

Being naughty is exhausting.
