After all of the company left, we kept it closer to
home. Many days we would have picnics on
the front lawn. Mason, Cory and I all love being outside and enjoying the warm
weather. And yes, Cory still lives in
his bones pajamas. It doesn’t matter if we wake up and get dressed for the day;
it is only a matter of time and he’s changed back into them.

Mason's Baby Blessing
On July 15, 2012 Mason was given a baby blessing by his dad. It was a wonderful day and a sweet blessing. This was also the first day where Mason was with out a doubt giving social smiles to my dad.

Visit from Mom and Dad Whitesell
Papa Whitesell and Grandma Whitesell came to visit in July! We were so excited to have them meet Mason and spend time with the rest of us. After we picked them up from the airport, we headed straight to downtown Salt Lake for dinner. We went to City Creek and ate at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a delicious dinner and City Creek was amazing. I'm not much of a shopper, but it was really fun just to walk around and see everything. Cory loved playing in the fountains and I enjoyed visiting with my mom and dad.

Visit from Aunt Heather and Dawson
We went to the Provo 4th of July parade. Mason slept the entire time while Cory and Dawson ate lots of junk and enjoyed all of the floats. While they were in town we visited the BYU bookstore, went on a shopping spree at the mall, and had a picnic at the park, introduced Heather to Red Robin (which Dawson later threw up.) Aww... the memories you can make in 7 days.

The first 2 weeks
I was on a complete adrenaline high for the first 2 weeks Mason was home. I was so happy and I honestly enjoyed every moment. We are blessed with a great support system and had numerous meals brought in from great friends and family. Mason didn't have any problems with adjusting, except some mild reflux. He was never spitty, but would fuss if you laid him flat on his back after eating. I held him almost all of the time for the first two weeks and didn't care one bit if I "spoiled" him. I had a keen sense that those first days/weeks with him were absolutely priceless. Having done this once before, I knew they would be gone before I knew it!
